Venture Forthe provides comprehensive life skills training, from qualified professionals, that empowers our clients to live the most independent life possible.
These services include recovery-oriented activities designed to restore independent living skills, and overcome the symptoms associated with a diagnosis in order to become a productive member of your family and community. Psychosocial Rehabilitation may include personal autonomy, social skills, and personal care skills. While both are centered on recovery, rehabilitation focuses on relearning and restoring skills that have been diminished due to injury or illness, and habilitation focuses on developing new skills for independence.
These services assist individuals with obtaining fair wage employment, as well as managing symtoms and recovery in order to sustain employment long-term. This personalized service is designed around participants’ individual career goals, and includes assistance with job searching, application assistance, skill development, professional growth and benefits counseling. Employment services offer the support required for gainful, successful employment.
Working towards education goals can be an important milestone in recovery. These services offer support and guidance for those looking to enroll in a TASC (GED) program, college or vocational training program in order to achieve educational goals and/or to enter the workforce. This service can also include relevant skill development, such as study skills, note taking and time mangement, as well as tactics for managing symptoms and moving towards recovery.
Family Support Services include guidance and information for family members involved in the recovery process, such as education on the diagnosis, treatment regimens and medication, and recovery concepts. Family support professionals assist families in using their existing strengths to develop coping skills, sustain healthy relationships, and create a safe and supportive environment conducive to recovery.
